Such training will ensure that staff and contractors are fully aware of:

• The organisation’s data protection processes, controls and objectives;
• The risks to the organisation of not keeping personal data safe and secure;
• The penalties for not complying with the GDPR, and their potential effect on the organisation;
• The role that they have to play in ensuring data protection assurance within the business;
• Their individual responsibilities, including identifying and reporting data loss or breaches
